RGBWW and RGBWA six-in-one LEDs produce far better pastels, ambers, and skin tones than basic RGB. For anything on camera or anything involving people, the extra emitters matter.
If a fixture will ever sit outdoors, on a patio, or under an open tent, an IP65 rating is not optional. Indoor pars fail quickly in weather.
Narrow beams punch further for uplighting tall walls; wider beams cover more area for stage wash. Some fixtures offer zoom to cover both.
Smooth dimming to true black without stepping or flicker is what separates a professional par from a cheap one, and it is immediately obvious on camera.
Being able to daisy-chain power across a run of fixtures dramatically reduces cable and circuit requirements on a large uplighting job.

A common rule is one fixture every eight to ten feet around the perimeter. A typical 150-guest ballroom takes twelve to twenty fixtures. Tighter spacing produces a more continuous wash; wider spacing produces distinct pools of colour.
RGB pars mix red, green, and blue only, which produces vivid saturated colour but poor whites, pastels, and skin tones. RGBWW adds warm white emitters, giving you usable white light, clean ambers, and far better results on camera.
Only if they are IP rated. Our IP65 outdoor pars are sealed against rain and dust and are built for patios, tents, building facades, and open-air stages. Standard indoor pars should never be exposed to weather.
No. LED pars have onboard dimming and connect directly to DMX. Plugging an LED fixture into a traditional dimmer pack can damage it — LEDs go into a constant-power circuit, not a dimmed one.
